Yesterday there was a terrible toll following an attack near a library in Vancouver, western Canada. The attack was allegedly carried out by an isolated man who was later arrested and the motives for the act are still unknown, according to the police. It all happened in the early afternoon inside and just outside the library.
A witness said he saw the suspect being evacuated in an ambulance, after he was allegedly shot with rubber bullets by the police. Another witness said she felt there appeared to be no connection between the victims and the attacker, who was striking “randomly” between people. The matter is being investigated by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (Rcmp). The man who stabbed several passers-by in Vancouver, killing a woman and injuring five others, had committed crimes in the past and was known to the police. Sergeant Frank Jang said. – “We believe we know who, what, where and when. Now our job is to determine why . The officer pointed out that the suspect has not yet been questioned. The stabbing took place near a library in an affluent neighbourhood of the Canadian city. According to witnesses, a child was among the injured.

L’attacco è stato presumibilmente effettuato da un uomo isolato che è stato poi arrestato e i motivi dell’atto sono ancora sconosciuti, secondo la polizia. Tutto è accaduto nel primo pomeriggio all’interno e appena fuori la biblioteca.
Un testimone ha detto di aver visto il sospetto essere evacuato in un’ambulanza, dopo essere stato presumibilmente colpito con proiettili di gomma dalla polizia. Un altro testimone ha detto che non sembrava esserci alcun collegamento tra le vittime e l’aggressore, che colpiva “a caso” tra le persone. Sulla vicenda sta indagando la Royal Canadian Mounted Police (Rcmp). L’uomo che ha accoltellato diversi passanti a Vancouver, uccidendo una donna e ferendone altri cinque, aveva commesso dei crimini in passato ed era noto alla polizia.
