Israel, new variant alert
“A new variant of the Coronavirus has been discovered in Israel” – reports the Jerusalem Post. The new form, called P681, is said to have already infected at least 100 people, although initial findings do not suggest that it is particularly contagious, at least not unlike the original virus, much less so than the other variants, such as the English one, which have been discovered and spread in recent months. However, initial findings suggest that at least the Pfizer vaccine can neutralise this new Israeli variant.
