Covid patients are more contagious from two days before to three days after the onset of symptoms. This was revealed in a study published in the journal Jama Internal Medicine Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH), which involved a group of individuals who tested positive for coronavirus and a total of 9000 close contacts (including family members, co-workers and other people in close contact) followed by contact tracing. The study also reinforces the idea that a person with covid is more contagious when they are symptomatic.
