EU: ‘More coordination and transparency on clinical trials’
The European Parliament adopted its position for the negotiations with the Council on extending the mandate of the European Medicines Agency (EMA). In order to strengthen the agency’s powers in crisis preparedness, management of medicines and medical devices, MEPs called for the creation of an interoperable EU digital database to detect, predict and prevent drug shortages.
