Sydney, study shows severe Covid after-effects on one in three patients
Research conducted by Sydney’s large St. Vincent’s Hospital and the Kirby Institute indicates that 32% of 81 Covid 19 patients diagnosed in that hospital’s clinics reported still feeling ill 240 days after infection, experiencing fatigue, labored breathing, chest tightness. And a full 19% still suffer from the debilitating ‘long Covid’ eight months later. It’s no accident that one in three Covid-19 patients still struggle with symptoms eight months after becoming infected. And young age is no protection from the debilitating effects of ‘long Covid’.
